Blog Marketing
I think blog marketing is one of the most value-added, effective forms of internet marketing. In fact, I even hate to call it ‘blog’ marketing; I’d prefer to call it “useful content marketing.” I added a blog to RangeBuzz.com over 2 years ago and has been the sole reason I’ve received increased search engine results.
One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced with promoting blog marketing is that people feel overwhelmed: “What should I write?” I hear over and over.
In my last postion as Career eFolio Specialist, I wanted to make it easy for my co-workers to understand the strategy and to contribute to our content marketing efforts. Here’s what I did:
- Created a feed reader in NetVibes with 2 tabs: Top 100 career blogs and the top 100 education blogs
- Developed a ‘cheat sheet’ advising step by step how to blog effectively and gain readers
I consulted W.A. Fisher to implement blog marketing and social media as part of their annual marketing plan.
